School Policies
At ThinkTank International School, our policies are designed to ensure a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment. They guide our operations, foster community engagement, and uphold educational excellence.
Admissions are open to all children irrespective of caste, creed, or religion. Students are generally admitted at the beginning of the academic session, based on seat availability. The Principal's decision is final.
Minimum Age for Admission:
- Nursery: 3 years
- KG-I: 4 years
- KG-II: 5 years
- Std-I: 6 years
Required Documents:
- Birth Certificate (Original & Xerox)
- School Leaving Certificate (if applicable)
- Copy of previous Progress Card
- Four passport-size color photographs
- Father's Caste Certificate Xerox
- Physical Fitness Certificate
- Aadhar Card Xerox
Important Notes:
- No change in the date of birth and name of the student will be permitted once the student is admitted.
- Fees once deposited will not be refunded. Cancellation of admission does not mean a refund of the fees paid.
- Parents/Father-Mother must come with their ward for admission.
- Students must be regular and punctual.
- Absences exceeding three days require prior approval or a medical certificate.
- School uniform & ID card are mandatory.
- A minimum of 80% attendance is required.
- Unauthorized absences exceeding 10 days may result in removal from school rolls.
- For Nursery, KG-I & KG-II, during one academic year school will conduct, two unit tests & two terminal examinations.
- From Std-I to Std-XII school will follow the rules of the State Government of Maharashtra & its evaluation of marks system.
- Marks of each test and exam held are entered in the progress report.
- Students of pre-primary who miss any unit Test/Exam will be retested only in case of illness for which a medical certificate must be produced.
- For pre-primary section, the promotion of a student will be based on the average of marks scored in all the unit tests & examinations.
- In order to pass, a student must secure 35% of the marks in each subject.
- Progress report is issued at the end of each unit test & examination in the parent's meeting.
- Transport fees must be paid in full at the time of admission/beginning of the school.
- If transport fees are not paid, transport services will not be provided.
- Students discontinuing transport must inform the school one month in advance through a written application; otherwise, transport fees will be charged.
- Transport fees are charged monthly (from 1st date to end date of the month) and are not prorated for partial usage.
- If a student avails transport from the 1st day to the 6th/7th day of the month and discontinues without informing, full monthly fees will be charged.
- Transport fee structure may be revised periodically as per school expenditure.
School Fees
- Registration/Admission fees, term fees (unit test & terminal exam fees), school diary, Identity Card, Tuition fees, cultural fees & other fees are collected at the time of Admission/Beginning of the school only.
- Tuition fees are payable for twelve months, which is collected at the time of admission/beginning of school.
- The school fees cover twelve calendar months, & students shall be charged full fees as long as their names are officially on the roll. Fees once paid are not refunded in any case.
- Registration/Admission fees will be charged to every new admission of pre-primary/primary/Higher Primary/High School & Jr. College students.
- Students admitted directly from our school from pre-primary to primary, primary to high school, & high school to Jr. College will be given preference & concession in registration fees.
- If any fees are balanced towards students, it must be paid immediately, otherwise a fine will be charged. If fees & fine are not paid, the student is liable to be dismissed from the school.
- Fees must be paid on the stipulated date, otherwise late fees will be charged & must be paid on the said due date.
- Parents must give ten days prior notice for the withdrawal of their child through an application to the principal.
- Withdrawals/issuing of TC's is allowed during the period from 1st May to 15th May.
- Issuing of TC's would not be entertained during the period from 1st June to 30th April in any case, unless it is a case of transfer.
- No school leaving certificate will be issued until the student has cleared all dues of the school.
- After TC is issued, the student would be taken back only after new admission.
- No school fees are refunded while withdrawals of TC's at any circumstances.
- In case of a dispute, the decision of the principal/school authorities will be final & binding on Parents/Guardians.
A student may be dismissed from the school on the following grounds:
- Non-payment of fees.
- Poor attendance or leave without intimation or prior written permission.
- Persistent indiscipline.
- The school maintains a secure environment with CCTV surveillance and controlled access points.
- Regular safety drills (fire, earthquake, etc.) are conducted for emergency preparedness.
- Only authorized persons with proper identification can pick up students from school.
- All school buses are equipped with GPS tracking and first aid kits.
- School staff undergoes regular safety training and background verification.
- Medical facilities are available on campus for immediate attention to injuries or health concerns.
- The school has a zero-tolerance policy for bullying, harassment, or discrimination of any kind.
- A dedicated counselor is available to address students' emotional and psychological needs.
- Regular parent-teacher meetings ensure open communication about student welfare.
- The school provides nutritious meal options and encourages healthy eating habits.
- Physical education and recreational activities are integral parts of the curriculum for holistic development.
- Any child abuse concerns are promptly reported to appropriate authorities as per legal requirements.
- The school welcomes students of all abilities and backgrounds, providing reasonable accommodations as needed.
- Specialized support services are available for students with learning differences or special educational needs.
- Curriculum and teaching methodologies are adaptable to diverse learning styles.
